Le Poteaupré de Chimay
The Scourmont-lez-Chimay abbey recently launched a new cheese. "Le Poteaupré" (after the abbey inn and shop of the same name) is a cheese with a soft, creamy centre under a beautiful mouldy rind. It matures for 5 weeks. This gives it a delicious nutty smell and provides a spicy accent.
The famous tasty Monastery Pig
The monks of Trappist Abbey Lilbosch in Echt (NL) breed their Monastery Pig with love and you can taste that. They are not only concerned about animal welfare, but also have respect for the environment, for the monastic community and for the consumer who likes to have a nice piece of quality meat on his plate.
Enjoy a generous portion of Bernardus ham, Livacoppa and our Livarano dried sausage.
Freshly baked Ciabattas
The nuns at Klaarland Priory are not sitting still. They have made traditional ciabattas in their mini bakery especially for the Kloostergang for the very first time. The result: Heavenly crispy pleasure.
No work in the kitchen!
The meat is cut, the Poteaupré is put in the pot and the bread just has to be baked. Thanks to a mini manual, you have as good as no work at home. Just turn on the oven and enjoy.
