In their walled-in vegetable garden and orchard, they grow vegetables for their own use and small fruit such as apples. From these they make delicious organic apple juice.
The agricultural business is their main source of livelihood and provides the majority of their income. Lilbosch Abbey manages a domain of about 150 hectares. Arable farming is the mainstay of their agricultural business. On about 90 hectares they grow crops such as cereals, sugar beet, rape and grain maize. About 35 hectares are grassland: pasture for their Livar pigs and suckler cows, and hay fields.
